The student sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital. SPD said the student's condition is unknown as of 8 p.m.

The department said the vehicle left the scene. However, with the help of witnesses and photos of the driver and license plate, an SRO was able to locate both the vehicle and the driver.

Cintora-Silva allegedly said that she asked the student if they needed help. The student reportedly said no and ran off on a scooter, according to a police report.

"We want to thank the witnesses in helping with the identification of the vehicle and driver," SPD said in the release. We also want to remind the public to be extra vigilant when in school traffic."

Cintora-Silva's bond is pending and she has a hearing scheduled for September 23.
