Springfield CTC to build new facility after levy passes
SPRINGFIELD, Ohio ( WDTN ) — Voters in Clark County have decided — the Springfield-Clark Career Technology Center levy has passed.
Election results show 56% voted in favor of the levy with 43% voting against.
The 1.4 mill tax levy will generate part of the funding for a new $90 million facility. The state will provide $63 million of those dollars, with the levy generating the rest.

This is the third time the levy appeared on the ballot for voters, and was also the last chance the group would have to secure the specific federal funding for the project.
Levy organizers with the CTC say they believe wording on the ballot was confusing to voters in the previous election. This time around, CTC Superintendent Michelle Patrick says the ballot language was more clear — and that change made a difference with voters.
Now that the levy has passed, the CTC will begin securing an architect for the project and finalizing the designs. Organizers say they will be looking for community feedback as this project gets underway.
