Springfield firefighters return from Florida deployment

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WCIA) — Five members of the Springfield Fire Department (SFD) have safely returned from their Mutual Aid Box Alarm System deployment in Florida, the department announced on Friday.
Springfield Park District invites community to 'master plan' public hearing
The firefighters provided support during the recent hurricanes and other emergencies while representing the SFD.
They assisted with efforts under the coordination of Fire Chief Todd Masterhand of the Sherman Fire Protection District.
