Springfield YMCA getting $343K renovation

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio ( WDTN ) — On Monday, the Springfield YMCA began a $343,000 renovation upgrading its Strength and Cardio rooms.
Included in the upgrades are new flooring and lighting. According to Board Treasurer Jesse Young, these are among the biggest upgrades since moving to the current location in 1989.
More threats impacting Springfield, this time businesses targeted
The facility will also get new equipment including eight Precor treadmills and eight Precor ellipticals, a StairMaster, free weights and more. WiFi will also be available throughout the building once upgrades are complete.
The project has an expected completion date of Oct. 7.
