Investigators reviewed security video from the gas station and spoke with employees. The employees identified both the shooter and the woman as regular customers and said the woman previously applied for a job at the gas station months earlier.

With this information, police identified the suspects as Mary Jane Nolan and Tyrone Chase Jr. Officers arrested both at Chase's residence.

During questioning, police said Nolan confirmed they'd planned to steal the victim's marijuana because she'd previously bought marijuana from him in the past.

The St. Charles County Prosecuting Attorney's Office charged Chase with first-degree assault, armed criminal action, unlawful possession of a firearm, and accessory to first-degree robbery. Nolan was charged with accessory to first-degree assault, accessory to first-degree robbery, and accessory to armed criminal action. Both were jailed on a $500,000 cash-only bond.
