St. Cloud’s 2025 Enterprise Budget Holds the Line on Fees
(KNSI) – St. Cloud residents can expect no new fees for city services in 2025, according to Mayor Dave Kleis, who unveiled the $56.3 million 2025 enterprise funds budget at Monday night's city council meeting.
The enterprise fund supports nine key areas not financed through property taxes: the Municipal Athletic Complex, River's Edge Convention Center, parking system and ramps, sewer and water, streetlights, and garbage and recycling services.
Mayor Kleis explained how the city is increasing the budget without raising fees, citing growth in revenue from facilities like the River's Edge Convention Center and parking systems. "The River's Edge Convention Center has more conventions. You get more people parking. Despite what people are saying, parking revenue has gone up. So in those areas, the revenue is increasing, and we're utilizing it for capital [improvements]."
The 2024 budget was a hair over $53 million.
A public hearing on the enterprise budget is scheduled for December 16th, when it will also be finalized.
