St. Vincent de Paul Society of Fort Wayne hosts 8th annual Friends of the Poor Walk Sunday

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - The 8th annual Friends of the Poor Walk, hosted by the St. Vincent de Paul Society of Fort Wayne, was held in downtown Fort Wayne on Sunday.

St. Vincent de Paul Society of Fort Wayne's Friends of the Poor Walk is an annual walk held to raise awareness toward those living in poverty in northeast Indiana.

The event, based near Parkview Field, began at 1 p.m. with a tailgate and live music.

At 3 p.m., attendees then participated in either 3-mile, 1.25-mile, or 0.33-mile walks.

The organization says all proceeds from the event will go toward helping local families with living expenses.
