EXETER – Jason Stankiewicz shot an even-par 35 as Coughlin edged Wyoming
Area, 163-166, in a Wyoming Valley Conference golf match Tuesday at Fox Hill
Country Club. Josh Mattei and Kevin McNulty each shot a 42 for the Crusaders
(2-0), while Jeff Chiucchi finished with a 44.
Mike Scatena and Matt Biscontini led the Warriors (0-1) by shooting a 40
apiece. Jamie Montville and Jessica Rdyzewski both fired a 43.
GAR 172, Seton Catholic 185
WILKES-BARRE – The Grenadiers were led by Frank Schiel, who was the
medalist by shooting a 34 as GAR opened with a win at Hollenback Golf Course.
Scott Pavone shot a 44 and Kevin Kosakowski and Gene Bullman had 47s for
GAR.
For Seton Catholic, Andrew Durako had a 39, Bob Lampman shot a 45, Al
Serino shot 50 and Greg Kaspriski carded a 51.
Crestwood 169, Nanticoke 186
WRIGHT TWP. – Brian Kersteiter was medalist to lead Crestwood by shooting a
Marty Diskur shot a 42, Shane Bonar 43 and Joe Swanson 44 for Crestwood.
Nick Peck and Dave Alberola fired 45s for Nanticoke, while Scott Tarnowski
had a 46 and Dan Benick a 50.
Hanover Area 169, Freeland MMI 193
HANOVER TWP. – Medalist Eric Plisko fired an even-par 35 to lead Hanover
Area over Freeland MMI at Wyoming Valley Country Club.
Ryan Wesley shot 41, Mike Lunski carded a 45 and Brian Hastings shot a 48
for Hanover Area.
For MMI, Tony Orlando fired a 44; T.J. Radzwich and Brian Thomas shot 48s
and Ben Sherry had a 53.
