EAST LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Community-favorite authentic Iraqi restaurant Sparty's Kabob is set to close its doors for the last time at the end of the month, according to a Sunday morning announcement on the restaurant's social media page.

Sparty's Kabob first opened in July 2020 to raving reviews from the wider Lansing community, touting itself as "Greater Lansing's first Iraqi Middle Eastern Restaurant."

However, the restaurant will not be renewing its lease and will close for the last time on Sept. 30.

The restaurant is still encouraging the community to come out and dine in one last time before it shuts down operations next Monday.

"We look forward to making these last weeks memorable and hope to see many familiar faces before we say our goodbyes," the restaurant says. "We will also be doing a buy-one-get-one 50% off as a way of giving back to our community one last time."

Until then, the restaurant is open every day from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
