A deputy pursuit of a stolen vehicle in San Bernardino ended in a crash that hospitalized four people after the suspect collided with another car on Saturday evening, Nov. 9.

The stolen vehicle pursuit began on Base Line Street and Sterling Avenue before terminating on E and Base Line streets, when the suspect collided with an uninvolved vehicle, said Gloria Huerta, a San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department spokesperson.

Footage of the crash shot by news video firm OnScene.TV shows one car, a silver Kia, flipped on its side against a wall after the collision at around 8:30 p.m. A few feet away at the intersection, first responders hover over a second car with severe damage to the front end. Several people, including children, were evaluated and carried off in gurneys by paramedics.

Four people were hospitalized, including one adult and three minors, Huerta said. Details on the status of their condition were unavailable and it was unclear if the suspect was also hospitalized.

No additional information was immediately available.
