Stop the Bleed training offered on Saturday

KURTEN, Texas (KBTX) - You can learn skills to save a life at a Stop the Bleed training in Kurten this weekend.

Participants will learn to stop life-threatening bleeding by using pressure, wound packing, and tourniquets at a free community event presented by District 2 Volunteer Fire Department with the support of Brazos County ESD 2.

Stop the Bleed is Saturday, Sept. 21 from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Kurten Community Center, 13055 East State Highway 21 in Kurten.

All participants will receive STB certification.

The cost is free, but you need to register online .
