Stores at Little Rock’s Chenal Promenade hit by random act of vandalism overnight

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Overnight vandalism at a few stores at Little Rock's Chenal Promenade caused minor damage, leaving a few store owners to scratching their heads.

Fringe Clothing owner Kendall Sandifer said a large decal of the store's logo has always been on the front door until Monday morning.

Sandifer feels confident it happened overnight Sunday, and she noticed first thing Monday morning.

"Was that enjoyable for them?" Sandifer questioned. "I don't get it."

At Houndstooth Clothing Company, manager Mallory Wilkerson said she had no idea anything was missing until security pointed it out to her Monday morning, asking if she wanted to file a police report.

Houndstooth has decals with its name on each glass panel outside the store, but now two panels are missing the first H from the name.

"I was very surprised and confused because like, why would you steal two random Hs off my window?" Wilkerson said.

Wilkerson and Sandifer both said they have not filed a police report and do not plan on it as of now because it is not worth the hassle, noting it's fairly easy to replace decals.

The shopping center is marked with security cameras throughout the property and has a security team, as well as a Little Rock Police Department officer on duty at all times when businesses are open.

Chenal Promenade's property management told KARK 4 News there are no official details to release at this point, though their security team is looking into it.
