Storm Track 3 Forecast: Mild weekend temps, midweek cold front brings rain for some
So far this month, Wichita has received 5.41′′ of rainfall. That tally makes this November the fifth rainiest November on record!
The low-pressure system that brought yesterday's rainfall continues to lift north this evening. Following the passing system, cloud cover has cleared from south to north. Spotty showers across northern Kansas will fizzle as the low tracks farther north.
Clear and starry skies will be the story tonight with temperatures cooling into the upper 40s by 10 PM. It will be a beautiful Saturday night across the Sunflower State.
Temperatures continue to cool overnight thanks to the clear skies. By daybreak tomorrow lows will reach there low to mid 30s across western Kansas while central Kansas holds onto the upper 30s and low 40s.
Sunshine and southwesterly flow will help highs tomorrow rebound. We reach above the seasonal norm with most of the state in the low to mid-60s. These will be great conditions to close out the weekend.
Temperatures continue to climb for the start of the workweek with highs on Monday in the upper 60s. Our next cold front tracks into the state late Tuesday night and will bring a slight cool down. Behind the boundary temperatures will be much closer to our seasonal norm before we warm up again by the weekend.
The front on Tuesday night will try to squeeze out a few raindrops across central and eastern Kansas. The best chances of moisture will be along and east of I-135. Behind this boundary, we dry out through the rest of the workweek.
