MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — Clear skies are in place for tonight, and temperatures will be cooler. Lows will be in the low-to-mid 60s. Some patchy fog is expected overnight through tomorrow morning.

A cold front is forecast to push through the Carolinas during the late morning on Monday and back behind it is beautiful fall-like conditions.

It will likely come through without any rain but will bring cooler weather for the middle of next week. Tuesday will be a couple of degrees cooler, closer to 80 degrees, but several degrees cooler by Wednesday. Highs on Wednesday will fall into the 70s. Night-time temperatures will be in the 50s. Likely the coolest temperatures in 5 months in Florence.

A slight chance for rain on the coast Thursday as the outer rain bands of Hurricane Milton may intercept the coast. This is highly dependent on the track. Regardless, the center will stay offshore. This is unlikely to pack the tornado threat that Helene did since the track is expected to our south and the trajectory is northeast.

Hurricane Milton is aiming for Florida's central, Gulf coast with landfall anticipated just 13 days after Hurricane Helene roared across in Florida's Big Bend region. Read the latest in Tracking the Tropics
