Suffolk pedestrian killed after being struck by vehicle on Pruden Boulevard

SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — A 40-year-old Suffolk man was pronounced deceased after being struck by a vehicle on Pruden Boulevard in Suffolk Wednesday evening. At approximately 5:45 p.m., Suffolk Police responded to a report of a traffic crash in the 2300 block of Pruden Boulevard. Upon arrival, officers found a vehicle traveling on Pruden Boulevard had struck a pedestrian, who was attempting to cross the roadway. Suffolk Fire & Rescue responded to perform life-saving measures, but the man identified as Travis Lassiter was pronounced deceased at the scene. The accident is under investigation and there is no additional information at this time.
