SULLIVAN, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Some students at Sullivan Middle School are getting hands-on experience in learning how the brain works.
Students in 8th Grade science class Wednesday dissected brains from sheep.
The lesson teaches the students about different parts of the brain. They'll also be learning how to diagnose a brain that has something wrong with it.
"It gives them hands-on experience with stuff that they wouldn't get to see otherwise unless they go into the medical field. So, it lets them see how their brains work and lets them really connect with that part of themselves," said Bright.
The students have also been learning about how the nervous system works.
