Sunday Brunch: The Bellevue in Chicago’s Gold Coast ‘making a lot of people happy’

On this week's edition of the WGN Weekend Morning News Sunday Brunch, Sean Lewis is joined by Chef Russell Kook of The Bellevue, located in Chicago's Gold Coast.

The Bellevue has been open at 1031 North Rush Street for just over a year, and Kook says judging by customers' reactions, it's doing well.

"We've kind of changed the menu in the last three months," he says. "We're really excited about it. We've changed the brunch menu. We feel like we're headed in the right direction. We're making a lot of people happy, and that's what we're here to do."

And the Gold Coast is a great place to be.

"I for sure think we have the best corner in the city," Kook says.

For Sunday Brunch, Kook showed how The Bellevue's breakfast pizza is made and also brought along some other menu items, including French toast, lox and a cocktail.
