Sunday evening shooting leaves one boy dead in Peoria

PEORIA ( 25News Now ) - A 12-year-old boy has died after a Sunday night shooting in Peoria. Police spokeswoman Semone Roth says a two round shots potter came in around 7:35 pm Sunday night in the 600 block of Romeo B. Garrett at the City Scape Apartments. The Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood tells 25News the boy, who has not yet been identified, died at the hospital. There is no word on a suspect at this time and the shooting remains under investigation.
