Sunshine breaks through before more wet weather in NY, NJ

NEW YORK (PIX11) – Wet weather conditions will finally make way for some sunshine Monday in the tri-state area.
Look for the sun to peek out Monday afternoon after a string of damp and gloomy days. It will be slightly warmer as well. Temperatures will rise into the low and mid-70s.

But the rain is not completely over yet. The chance of showers returns Tuesday and Wednesday as a storm system passes just to the south.
Afternoon highs will be in the mid-60s to near 70 degrees. Expect brighter and drier conditions on Thursday and Friday.
