Suspect Arrested After Alleged Home Invasion, Standoff – Pasadena Now

A man broke into a home while two residents were sleeping early Saturday morning, according to police.

Adrian Ramirez, 25, of Pasadena, was arrested for burglary after a 45-minute standoff with officers, according to Pasadena Police Lieutenant Andrea Perez.

Perez said officers responded to a call at 6:31 a.m. in the 1000 block of North Oakland Avenue. A 31-year-old woman and a 33-year-old man fled their home after discovering an intruder and called 911 with a neighbor's help.

When police arrived, the suspect was still inside the residence and refused to exit. Officers set up a containment and attempted to negotiate a peaceful surrender said Perez.

According to Perez, after about 45 minutes Ramirez ran out the back door but was quickly apprehended by police.

Online booking records inflicted on Sunday that Ramirez was being held in the Sheriff's Dept. Central Jail on a $65,000 bond.
