With a three-game week against competitive opponents, it was bound to be an interesting week for the Lady 'Hawks.

It started on Oct. 9 as Susquenita faced East Juniata and after a hard-fought battle from both sides and two overtime periods, the game ended in a 0-0 tie.

The Blackhawks had five corners compared to the Tigers' four. They also got off 22 shots but couldn't capitalize. Goalie Josie Van Why had eight saves.

Starting the week with an intense game such as this one is not ideal with two games left, but the Blackhawks made it work.

Two days later, Susquenita played Juniata which went differently than the last.

Madalynn Farhat, Claire Wechsler, Molly Eicher and Claire Finkenbinder all scored for the Blackhawks, resulting in the 4-0 shutout.

Susquenita tallied 27 shots and seven corners while Van Why had 11 saves showing another intense matchup despite the score.

Finally, the Blackhawks faced Saint Joseph's to finish the week in what would prove to be another battle.

However, Susquenita would win with a close score of 1-0. They came out of the three-game week 2-0-1 against competitive teams.

The Blackhawks are currently 14-3-1 overall and 10-1-1 in the Tri-Valley League.

Susquenita has one game left against Juniata and then will most likely head to the post season which looks promising for the team this year.
