ylvia A. Senyk, 69, of Clarks Summit, formerly of West Locust Street,
Scranton, died Friday at the home of her son, Dr. Michael Senyk.



Born July 16, 1932 in Scranton, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and
Julia (Chick) Matika. She was a 1950 graduate of West Scranton High School.
She worked for Prudential Life Insurance Co. for several years. She was a
member of St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church, Wilkes-Barre~.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Andrew; and sisters, Katherine
Moran and Olga Bloedell.

Surviving, in addition to her son, are her husband of 43 years, Basil;
daughter, Nadine Miedreich, Clarks Summit; one granddaughter; brothers, John,
Gary, Ind.; and Myron, Fallbrook, Calif.; sisters, Eleanor Salivonchick,
Bethpage, N.Y.; and Elizabeth Flanagan, Northfield, N.J.; nieces and nephews.



Private funeral services were held Monday at the Semian Funeral Home, 704
Union St., Taylor, with Archpriest Paul White, pastor, officiating. Interment
was in Abington Hills Cemetery, South Abington Township. Memorial donations
may be made to St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church Orphan Fund, 58 Seneca
St., Wilkes-Barre, 18702.
