LOS ANGELES — A mansion in the Hollywood Hills that belongs to the son of Philadelphia Phillies owner John S. Middleton has been overtaken by taggers and squatters and is completely covered in graffiti, according to reports.

John Powers Middleton bought the home at 7571 Mulholland Drive in 2012 but it has since been declared a nuisance, with the Los Angeles building and safety department ordering a fence erected, according to KNBC , which reported the city put one up when the owner failed to do so.

A tagger told KTLA it's possible to enter the property without hopping the fence.

Police have been called to the home several times in recent weeks and removed 10 people Wednesday, arresting one, according to KABC .

The house has been empty about a decade but the squatters didn't move in until the last year or two, KNBC reported, adding all levels of the exterior as well as the roof are graffitied.

City Councilwoman Nithya Raman's office described the situation as "egregious violation of the law" and said the issue was being elevated to ensure swift enforcement, according to KTLA.

In a statement to WPVI , the Phillies said John Powers Middleton is the only family member involved with the property.
