HAZLET, NJ — Family and friends are remembering a taxi driver from Eatontown after he was killed at a Hazlet motel on Sept. 14.

Anthony Hill, 42, of Eatontown, was found shot to death at the Holly Hill Motel Saturday morning.

A long-time cab driver for Yellow Car in Red Bank, Hill is survived by his wife, Emily, and their daughter.

Anita Pierce, a friend of the family, said Hill "touched the lives of many" on a GoFundMe campaign set up to help with funeral expenses and living costs as the family tries to move forward.

"Ant was a devoted husband, father, and friend, known for his kind heart and dedication to his family," Pierce said.

The GoFundMe has a donation goal of $30,000. As of Friday afternoon, the fund has raised $1,120.

"Ant was a great man who touched the lives of many, and now his family needs our help," Pierce said. "Please consider donating and sharing this page to honor his memory and assist his wife and daughter as they face this devastating loss."
