Global pop star Taylor Swift has officially surpassed Rihanna , claiming the title of the world's richest female musician, with a net worth estimated to be an impressive $1.6 billion, placing her behind Jay-Z on the Forbes list.

The singer is recognized as the first musician to ascend to billionaire status primarily through her music and performances.

Swift's newly minted position was confirmed on Saturday when Forbes updated her net worth to reflect her expanding fortune fueled by the extraordinary success of her historic "Eras Tour" and the value of her music catalog. The tour, projected to be the most lucrative in American history, is estimated to generate up to $4.1 billion.

As a result, she surpassed Rihanna's $1.4 billion net worth and is ranked No. 2 on the list of richest musicians. Jay-Z remains at the top, with a $2.5 billion net worth.

Swift first became a billionaire in October 2023. Now Forbes estimates that her assets include $600 million from royalties and touring, another $600 million from the value of her catalog, and $125 million from real estate.

It's a huge jump from where she was back in 2020, when she was valued at $345 million. This means she's raked in somewhere north of $1.2 billion in the past four years alone.

But to be fair, Rihanna has snagged the title of "Richest Female Musician of All Time," since her net worth once peaked at $1.77 billion. But Swift might achieve that feat also after her "Eras Tour" comes to a close later this year.

She begins her final shows in the U.S. on Oct. 18 and will conclude in Canada in early December.
