TEAMSHEET: Louis van Gaal rocked up at Manchester United in 2014 with high hopes before he lost his first game in charge to Swansea City, but can YOU recall who played for United that day?

Welcome back to Teamsheet... Mail Sport's original football memory game that gives you the chance to show off your knowledge and earn the bragging rights over your mates.

It's fair to say things have been tumultuous on and off the pitch at Old Trafford ever since Sir Alex Ferguson retired as Man United boss in 2013, so today we're bringing you back to one era in the Red Devils' recent history that was tipped to bring the glory days back.

In 2014, after David Moyes ' short-lived stint in the United hotseat, Louis van Gaal rocked up at Old Trafford fresh off leading the Netherlands to a third-place finish at the World Cup.

However, his reign got off to a disastrous start as United were beaten 2-1 by Swansea City in their opening Premier League clash, but can you remember who lined up for the Dutchman on that disappointing August day 10 years ago?

It's just for fun, so see how you fare and share your Teamsheet score... full instructions on how to play are at the bottom of the and in the game itself - and make sure to come back tomorrow to play MailOnline's latest Teamsheet from a memorable Premier League match.

Best of luck!

After you've played today's main game, choose one Teamsheet from ANY club that has played in the Premier League since it began from 2006 onwards. Premier League matches from 1992-2006 will be on the game in the next few weeks.

You can even narrow your choice down by decade. So whether you want an Arsenal match from the 90s, or a Fulham game from the 2010s, let's see what the Teamsheet generator throws up.

HOW TO PLAY The aim of the game is to score as few points as possible!

If you guess a player at the first attempt you score one point - so the lowest score for guessing every player at the first attempt is 11.

Guess a correct letter in the right position, and it'll turn green. Guess a correct letter but in the wrong position, and it'll turn yellow

You have six guesses for each player - and if you fail, we'll reveal their identity for 11 points! You can also ask for a free letter ¿ but it costs you a point

So play on to see if you'll score the best possible total of 11 - or fail on every player and score 121.
