Teen indicted for murder in connection with body found in north Lubbock roadway

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - A 17-year-old has been indicted on a murder charge in connection with the death of 32-year-old Adrian Davila .

Bryson Thomas, Jr. was arrested by the Texas Anti-Gang Unit on May 9 and remains in the Lubbock County Detention Center.

In the early morning hours of May 8, Lubbock police initially responded to a possible hit-and-run with injuries on the North Loop and I-27. Police found Davila in the roadway in the southbound lanes of I-27.

Upon further investigation, officers determined Davila had not been struck by a vehicle, but suffered injuries consistent with a shooting.

Investigators say Davila and Thomas were driving in the area together when they got into an argument. Thomas is accused of pulling out a gun, shooting Davila then pushing his body out of the vehicle.

Thomas is held on a $100,000 bond.
