This is the tense moment that Cynthia Erivo gave an influencer a very disapproving glare after she accidentally knocked her hat on the Wicked red carpet.

The actress, 37, - who has made headlines this week for a series of awkward encounters amid the film's press tour - was walking around the premiere when the incident occurred.

Digital creator Ambar Miraaj Driscoll was carrying her umbrella as she walked along the red carpet before Cynthia walked up behind her.

Ambar then accidentally lightly knocked Cynthia's small black hat leading the actress to give her a very disgruntled look.

Sharing the video on her Instagram Ambar penned in the caption: 'Guys I almost took Cynthia Erivo's little hat off with my umbrella!'

Fans were quick to comment underneath at how the Wicked star was 'not impressed' with the close contact.

They wrote: 'Oh girl she was fummmin', 'Oh she was so not impressed', 'She was not happy',

'What a diva! The look she gave', 'Bombastic SIDEEYE', 'She really didn't need to look at you like that though.',

'Okay so you and your umbrella just raised Cynthia's blood pressure', 'Idk... I kinda feel SHE walked into YOU.'

It comes after at the New York premiere over the weekend Cynthia raised eyebrows online after giving a curt response to an interviewer on the red carpet.

While attending the event with co-star Ariana Grande this week, the pair were asked by Ajay Porter of the Mystery Fashionist to share which designers they were wearing and to rate their outfits out of ten.

After they answered, the interviewer followed up by asking, 'What is a common misconception about y'all?'

Grande gasped, before Erivo brusquely responded, 'I don't know what the common misconception is at all, but that's not a fashion question, is it?'

Erivo's response drew a mixed reaction online, with some fans branding the actress 'rude,' while others praised her bluntness.

'Girl! That was unnecessary!' wrote one person, while another said, 'That Cynthia lady seems so rude.'

'Absolutely horrendous questions to ask. Yikes. They were kind to even respond to such nonsense,' added another.

'I'm afraid I love her lmao,' laughed one superfan.

Erivo seemed to find the funny side of the whole incident, with the star reposting the interview clip to her own Instagram page.

DailyMail.com has contacted Erivo's representative for comment.

In addition, earlier this week amid the ongoing press tour Cynthia said she was 'annoyed' by questions about her long nails, after Dax Shepard inquired if her acrylics get in the way when using the bathroom.

She was a guest on Shepard's Armchair Expert podcast on Monday, when he decided to ask a 'really crazy' and 'inappropriate' question.

'When you're wiping your butt...,' Shepard, 49, began, before Cynthia interjected, 'I knew you would ask that question.'

'My answer is that nobody uses just their fingers to wipe their backside,' the actress, said. 'You use tissue, correct? And you wipe!'

Shepard continued to probe the star on how she holds the toilet paper in her hand, and whether she uses the 'tips of the fingernails.'

Cynthia clarified, saying she uses 'pads of the fingers' before adding, 'I'm a functioning adult.'

Shepard went on with the line of questioning, asking if at times she feels a 'little tickle of the nails on the crack.'

'No, because the tissue is there!' Cynthia responded.

After Shepard asked if she was 'offended' by the question, Cynthia said: 'I'm annoyed by it. I'm, like, 'Come on, guys.' But I get it, but it's also, like, 'I'm a functioning adult, and I've never walked around smelling like, you know...''

She added, 'Here's the thing, there are people who do not have nails who need to check how they're wiping.'

Cynthia also joked that other people have asked her how she gets anything done with her nails.

'And I'm like, 'I mean, I'm here! I'm dressed.''

The star's eye-catching nails have been front and center during her tour to promote Wicked alongside co-star Ariana.

Last month Cynthia made headlines after she blasted a 'deeply hurtful' poster from Wicked that had been edited by a fan, claiming it had 'erased' her after her eyes were hidden in the image, while costar Grande remained unedited.

At the time, Erivo scolded the artwork in a scathing social media post , but since she's reassessed her actions.

Speaking on the red carpet at the CFDA Awards , she laughed off her reaction while insisting it 'wasn't necessarily a clapback.'

'I think I'm really protective of the role,' she told Entertainment Tonight.

'I'm passionate about it, and I know that the fans are passionate about it.'

Erivo went on to add to the publication that it was 'a human moment of wanting to protect Elphaba,' adding: 'I probably should've called my friends, but it's fine.'

Initially, the actress took to her Instagram Story to repost the edited version of the poster for the film.

She wrote, 'This is the wildest, most offensive thing I have seen.'

She continued, 'The original poster is an ILLUSTRATION. I am a real-life human being, who chose to look right down the barrel of the camera to you, the viewer... because, without words we communicate with our eyes.'

The talented actress then went on to describe the differences between the original musical and the theatrical version.

'Our poster is an homage not an imitation,' she said, before adding: 'To edit my face and hide my eyes is to erase me. And that is just deeply hurtful...'

She then went shared an image of the official Wicked poster.

'Let me put this right here,' Erivo wrote above the image, alongside two green hearts. 'To remind you and cleanse your palette. '
