Texas A&M QB Max Johnson enters portal as graduate transfer

Max Johnson is on the move once again. The Texas A&M quarterback announced on Sunday that he will be entering the transfer portal this offseason upon his graduation. In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter , Johnson said he is “looking forward to embracing the possibilities ahead” as he continues his collegiate career. Johnson initially transferred to Texas A&M from LSU after the 2021 season, and had the chance to become the Aggies’ solidified starter under Jimbo Fisher. He started three of four games in 2022, but suffered a season-ending injury. Johnson then battled with Connor Weigman in 2023, lost the starting job, but took over as the starter as Weigman dealt with his own injury issues.
