Texas Apartment Complexes Under Siege from Illegal Aliens, Venezuelan Gang Members Arrested

Authorities in Texas have revealed that apartment complexes in the state have come under siege from violent illegal alien gangs.

Members of the Tren de Aragua gang were arrested in San Antonio, Texas, earlier this month.

The gang is the same group that has taken over apartment buildings in Colorado.

The arrests were made following a weeks-long joint operation at the beginning of the month, My San Antonio reported .

Four of the people arrested were members of the notorious Tren de Aragua.

The gang is known for violent illegal activities, including murder, drugs, and human trafficking.

Earlier this month, San Antonio Police Chief Bill McManus said that one of those arrested was "an enforcer" in the gang.

Chief McManus also said the bust was just the first, hinting that more arrests would follow.

McManus noted that police had received multiple complaints from residents at an apartment complex.

Residents reported that drugs were being sold, people were being trafficked, and apartment employees were being threatened.

As in Aurora, Colorado, the illegal aliens are forcing residents to pay rent to the gang.

"We're on to you, we're coming for you, and we know where you are," McManus said at a press conference, according to My San Antonio.

The outlet also reported that two members of the gang were arrested during a traffic stop the previous week.

Police had shared a map showing suspected and documented gang activity.

Last month, Texas's Republican Governor Greg Abbott declared Tren de Aragua to be a "foreign terrorist organization."

The move came following reports that more than 100 members of the gang had violently forced their way across the U.S. Southern Border.

"The recent entry and expansion of the vicious Venezuelan gang, Tren de Aragua, is a dangerous and deadly problem facing our state and nation," Abbott said.

"Our goal is to defend Texas from the growing threat of the gang.

"We will not let them use Texas as a base of operations to terrorize our citizens.

"They have a target on their back, and we are going after them," the governor added.

"Texas is the wrong state for them to try to do business in."

The Daily Mail reported that the Tren de Aragua gang has taken over four apartment complexes in San Antonio.

The Mail, citing law enforcement sources and residents of the complexes, said the situation has been going on for five or six months.

The gangs have reportedly squatted in empty apartments and used them to deal drugs or traffic women and children for sex.

The San Antonio Police Department refused to verify the claims made in the Mail .
