PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) — Hundreds of people came out for the final day of the 15th annual Peoria Kristkindlmarkt at the Expo Gardens this weekend.

More than 35 vendors sold original crafts, tree ornaments and homemade goods.

The Christmas market is put on every holiday season by the Peoria German American Central Society and Harmonie Concordia.

Event chairman Jeff Pulfer said this year was one of their biggest turnouts.

"We had our biggest turnout ever between like 11:00 to 2:00. It was just massive. They love it," said Pulfer.

The German American Central Society will hold another event next Sunday at the Lindenhof in Peoria.
