LONG ISLAND, NY — Seven Long Island hospitals have been ranked the best in New York in a new report from Newsweek.

North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset is the number 4 top-ranked hospital in New York in Newsweek and data partner Statista's America's Best In-State Hospitals 2025 ranking of more than 700 medical centers nationwide.

The 2025 best in-state hospitals list features medical facilities in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. The hospitals were ranked based on quality metrics from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and national surveys, including:
