The Annual Peanut Pestival in Williston

WILLISTON, Fla. (WCJB) -If you love peanuts, you were in luck as the annual peanut festival took place.

There was a wide variety of peanuts available, along with peanut butter, boiled peanuts, and peanut butter sandwiches. Even if you're not a fan of peanuts, there were plenty of other attractions for everyone to enjoy.

"I love it 'cause it's a community thing. You never see a lot of community stuff happen anymore and I just feel like this festival brings people together. Every time I look people are meeting new people, people smiling, and having fun. It's not just about the vendors and not just about the food it's meeting new people," said Jimmie Jerrells who worked at the peanut festival.

The community came together to partake in games, admire local crafts, listen to live music, and explore the offerings of various vendors. If you missed the peanut festival don't worry it will be back again next year.
