The Halal Guys, known for their American Halal food, announced their 103rd location worldwide (2nd in Hudson Valley) will open next week at 23 Le Count Place, in New Rochelle. The fast casual restaurant already has a restaurant on Central Park Ave. in Yonkers.

The restaurant has all sort of prizes, free foods and merchandise for guests who attend the Grand Opening on October 25, including:

  • A free platter for the first 100 guests in line.
  • Every guest after the first 100 will receive 25 percent off all orders for up to one week (offer not valid on Family Meals or Catering).
  • Throughout the day, fans will be able to enter their names to win prizes such as a Sony Play Station 5 and $100 The Halal Guys gift cards.
  • "New Rochelle is a beautiful city, filled with bustling shops and businesses. It's an ideal place to work, live and play. The Halal Guys is honored to join in the action and become a part of the community," Margaret Carrera, Chief Development Officer at The Halal Guys, said. "New York is our home and any location we open here is special to us. We look forward to bringing The Halal Guys' delicious American Halal cuisine to even more New Yorkers and visitors from out of state."

According to the company, the New Rochelle location has The Halal Guys special design concept which tells the story of the brand, rooted in the streets and taxi drivers of NYC. Key design elements include subway tiles, manhole covers, and polished concrete floors to create an "urban concrete jungle vibe." The Halal Guys also collaborated with a local artist to design a mural featuring the NYC skyline, its famous food cart with long lines and the famous white and red sauces. The graffiti art on the soffit panels is meant to tie the whole space together, connecting The Halal Brothers story with the "vibrant essence of New York City."

The New Rochelle location will have The Halal Guys' signature menu of authentic American Halal dishes, including platters and sandwiches filled with a choice of falafel, chicken or beef gyro, and its renowned desserts such as baklava, chocolate baklava and baklava cheesecakes. The restaurant will also serve The Halal Guys Chicken Wings, new to the menu, which the company says are prepared to "golden crisp perfection" before being tossed in bbq sauce, with a choice of classic white or red sauce, blended herbal white sauce, smokey bbq sauce, or hot chili bbq sauce on the side.

Founded in 1990 by three Egyptian immigrants, The Halal Guys is now considered the world leader in American Halal street food, and "perhaps the city's most famous open-air dining destination," according to the The New York Post. The brand is the #3 most Yelped business in NYC, and according to Time Magazine, in the Top 10 Most Yelped businesses in the U.S. As the first fast casual American Halal food chain, The New York Times noted it is "one of the longest-running and best-known food carts."
