THE JIM HARBAUGH EFFECT IS REAL! The Chargers Win A Game They SHOULD Have Lost And Burrow Is Now 0-3 Vs Herbert
You've all watched so I don't need to go into great detail but lets break it down.
The Chargers DOMINATED the first half of this game. Burrow could not move the ball at all and Justin Herbert? Man, he had an MVP performance. Nothing but laser after laser after laser into the tightest windows for his dogwater receiving core. Then, the second half came and everything switched. It was like Jacksonville all over again. Nobody was getting open and Herbert was playing like TRASH. Bad throws, his first turnover since week two and just not the same stuff he had through 2 quarters. And the defense took some injures and started getting torched by Higgens and Chase, who ran the same 3 plays over and over and over again with about a 100% success rate. But what happened at the end of the game? A Chargers win. Let me lay out why that is special.
In basically every previous regime of the last 10 years, this game is a loss. Brandon Staley, Anthony Lynn and Mike McCoy never have a chance of winning this. And as much as I want to just apply it to Harbaugh's pure coaching ability, its kind of not! Part of it is just straight up LUCK. 2 missed field goals, the bengals drop an interception and their offense stalls out on two potential game winning drives? Not to be too nerdy, but this is what it reminds me of.
Some leaders just have that winning essence! It's not quantifiable, but it is! Every loser coach the Chargers have had would have lost that game but a select few football coaches just win it. Harbaugh is that guy!
Now we have another huge test coming up in the Harbowl. The Ravens have looked very beatable lately but their offense is still insane and our defense is injured as all hell. Make me believe, Jim.
