The Real Housewives of Dubai’s Future Status Revealed

After two seasons, The Real Housewives of Dubai has been put on "pause," Us Weekly has learned.

"The cast was told a couple days ago," a source exclusively tells Us.

Us has reached out to Bravo for comment.

Dubai is the latest Bravo show to be put on pause in 2024, following similar fates for Summer House: Martha's Vineyard and Winter House . But it's not necessarily the end of the road: The Real Housewives of Miami was put on pause in 2013 before its successful 2021 reboot.

RHODubai, the first international iteration of the franchise, stars Chanel AyanSara Al MadaniCaroline BrooksLesa MilanCaroline Stanbury. Nina Ali, 45, was a main cast member in season 1 but decided to depart the series before the second season began filming. (Ali ended up making a brief guest appearance in season 2.)

Season 2 welcomed a few new faces with Taleen Marie as a main cast member and Saba Yussouf as a friend of the housewives.

Season 1 premiered in June 2022. The following year, the Bravo show was renewed for a second season which didn't premiere until last June.

Fans of the series have watched Ayan, 46, and Stanbury, 48, go from rivals to friends. In the first season, the women were constantly at odds — especially when Stanbury did not invite Ayan to her hen party. Ayan and Stanbury got into an explosive argument after the Ladies of London alum and her guests started recapping how much fun the night was.

While it didn't seem like Ayan and Stanbury would ever see eye-to-eye, the duo shocked everyone when they grew close after filming season 1.

"We were traveling back to Dubai and she didn't have a car that was picking [her] up," Ayab exclusively told Us in May about her and Stanbury's new connection. "I was like, don't worry girl, I got you. I'll make sure you [get] home."

After that instance, Ayan revealed that she and Stanbury "talked" and bonded over their families. Ayan and husband Chris Pillott are the parents of son Taj, whom they welcomed in 2008. Stanbury, for her part, shares three children, Yasmine, Zack and Aaron with ex-husband Cem Habib. (She wed Spanish soccer player Sergio Carrallo in 2021.)

"That is so last season," Ayan said. "This season we are getting along. We are laughing. I was just talking to her now and I'm happy about our friendship."

Ayan joked that her and Stanbury's drama was done after the businesswoman got a facelift.

"I like this new face," she shared. "It's cute, it's pretty, she looks fabulous, and I cannot be upset. Everything I was upset with her died with that face, the old one."

While Ayan and Stanbury found peace in season 2, their new friendship did contribute to the model's tension with Milan .

"It did take me by surprise in some ways more than others, but I think, overall, I'm not buying into it. That's the only thing," Milan exclusively told Us in June. "But I'm here to tune in just like the rest of you guys because I feel like there were a lot of things that I didn't see because I'm not in all the scenes. I'm not always with them. And so, I'm looking forward to seeing how this whole thing plays out."
