‘The Wild Robot’ Reclaims Lead at U.K., Ireland Box Office

Universal's " The Wild Robot " reclaimed the top spot at the U.K. and Ireland box office in its third weekend, earning £2.179 million ($2.8 million) for a cumulative total of £11.6 million ($15 million), per numbers from Comscore.

Sony's " Venom: The Last Dance " stayed close behind in second place with £2.175 million in its sophomore frame, pushing its total to £9.1 million.

Entertainment Film Distributors' newcomer " Heretic " debuted in third with £1.9 million, while Lionsgate U.K.'s " Small Things Like These " opened at fourth with £890,104.

Paramount's "Smile 2" rounded out the top five with £600,979 in its third weekend, bringing its running total to £5.4 million.

Universal's Cannes winner "Anora" entered the chart at sixth with £509,005, followed by AA Films U.K.'s Bollywood film "Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3" debuting at seventh with £408,295.

Paramount's "Transformers One" held eighth place in its fourth week with £390,258, reaching a total of £4.3 million. Moviegoers Entertainment's "Singham Again," also from Bollywood, opened at ninth with £359,622, while Warner Bros.' "Juror #2" rounded out the top 10 with a £334,827 debut.

Looking ahead, the market will see several major releases this week including Warner Bros.' "Red One," starring Dwayne Johnson and Chris Evans on Wednesday. The day also sees music documentary "Placebo: This Search For Meaning" from Abramorama.

Studiocanal's "Paddington in Peru," where the titular bear and his adopted family, the Browns, decide to visit his aunt Lucy in Peru, but circumstances lead them towards misadventures in the Amazon rainforest and mountains of Peru, releases on Friday. The cast includes Olivia Colman, Emily Mortimer, Antonio Banderas and Ben Whishaw.

Universal is bowing "Piece by Piece," where Lego bricks tell the life story of singer-songwriter and record producer Pharrell Williams – from his childhood in Virginia to his success in the music and fashion industry.

Mubi is opening Andrea Arnold's Cannes title "Bird," while Kaleidoscope Entertainment is releasing comedy "The Problem With People." Dogwoof is debuting "No Other Land," the Berlinale-winning documentary made by a Palestinian-Israeli collective and Sony is releasing anime "Overlord: The Sacred Kingdom."

From India, Dreamz Entertainment is releasing "Bagheera" and "Appudo Ippudo Eppudo."

BFI Distribution is opening a 4K restoration of Kathryn Bigelow's "Point Break."
