“They’ll be forever champions”: Lindenwood Women’s Soccer talks first OVC Tournament Title

ST. CHARLES – Over the weekend in Cookeville, TN, the Lindenwood Women's Soccer team earned a dramatic comeback, winning 3-2 against Morehead State to claim the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament championship.
Having won just one OVC game last season, Lindenwood completed an impressive turnaround, finishing the 2024 season with an overall record of 11-5-4 and a 4-1-4 conference record.
The Lions trailed 2-0 going into the second-half. In the final 45 minutes Mackenzie Compton, Anna Johnson, and Tasneem Dizdarevic scored goals for Lindenwood. Dizdarevic's penalty kick in the final five minutes served as the game-winner.
This victory marks Lindenwood's first OVC Championship in women's soccer.
