"They're Pretty Much Unstoppable Right Now" - Brian Baldinger Tries To Decipher Who Can Slow Down The Detroit Lions Offense
On today's Pardon My Take... BRIAN BALDINGER! The former player, current NFL Network Analyst, and longtime recurring guest of the show joined Mr. Cat and Mr. Commenter on today's show to talk NFL, how to stop the Lions, what freaks he's been watching on film, what teams are still frisky, and who would be the best 2 win team.
The Detroit Lions continue to be one of the best stories in the NFL. After suffering a heartbreaking loss in the NFC Championship Game last season, Dan Campbell and company are right where they left off: right in the mix to represent the conference in the Super Bowl. Detroit is currently 7-1, which is the best record in the NFC at the midway point of the season. A big reason for this is because of the electrifying offense led by friend of the program, Jared Goff.
Through Week 9, the Lions are averaging 32.3 points per game, which is the best in the entire National Football League. That brought up an important question during today's interview: who can stop them? Baldy gave his thoughts on this topic during today's interview. Take a look:
Goff. Gibbs. Montgomery. St. Brown. LaPorta. Decker. Sewell. And much, much more. Good luck stopping that unit, folks. Since Week 4, here are the amount of points that Detroit has put up against their opponents.
Week 4: 42 points vs. Seahawks
Week 6: 47 points Lions
Week 7: 31 points Vikings
Week 8: 52 points vs. Titans
Week 9: 24 points Packers
They can move the ball, they can score the ball. But can they win The Big One? We will find out in just a couple of months.
