Saturday, Nov. 25— "Shop Something Good for the Holidays" at Columbus businesses. Hosted by the Columbus area Chamber, this special initiative aims to support local businesses by encouraging the community to use Columbus bucks for their holiday purchases. From 8 to 11 a.m. on Small business Saturday, Columbus bucks will be available for purchase at the Santa House located in Frankfort Square in downtown Columbus. on the same day, several businesses will extend a 10% discount to patrons paying with Columbus bucks. Saturday, Nov. 25 — noon to 4 p.m.— Santa Claus is Comin' to Town in downtown Columbus. Santa Claus will make a grand entrance to the Santa House in downtown Columbus. Families are invited to bring their kids and meet Santa Claus on Nov. 25-26. Santa will be welcoming children at his house located in Frankfort Square on the corner of 13th Street and 27th avenue. This holiday tradition will continue from noon to 4 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 25 through Dec. 17. Sunday, Nov. 26 — 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. — opening of Christmas on The Hill Craft Show at St. benedict Center, 1126 road i, Schuyler. The craft show, which will continue through Dec. 10, will feature crafts and gifts made by 50 area artists and a wide variety of food products. visitors also can view nativity scenes from around the world. admission is free.

Thursday, Nov. 3 0 — 10:30 a.m. to noon, and 1:30 to 3 p.m.—Storyart: dinosaur roar at Columbus Public Library's Children's room.

Sunday, Dec. 3 — 2 p.m.—Platte County Historical Society's December program meeting in the historical society's west building meeting room, 2916 16th St, in Columbus. barb Gay will present a program on the Columbus Walking Tour. admission is free to members and $3 for non-members.

Sunday, Dec. 3 — 2 p.m.— Columbus Friends of music Concert at Columbus middle School Nantkes Performing arts Center, 2200 26th St. The concert will be "yesterday once more—The Sound of Karen Carpenter." Season and individual concert tickets available at columbusfriendsofmusic.com .

Saturday, Dec. 9 — 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.— drive-thru Living Nativity at Word of Life Church, 3701 23rd St., in Columbus. The living nativity, complete with live animals, will be offered in English and Spanish. all are welcome. There will be cookies and hot coffee offered inside for those who would like to park and go inside.
