This champion bodybuilder who has just become the first British winner of a 'drug-free' Las Vegas event has a very famous father - can YOU guess who it is?

He is the son of a former England cricketer whose voice is synonymous with the game.

But Ben Lloyd, 40, has taken a slightly different path to his father - becoming the first British winner of a drug-free bodybuilding event.

Accrington-born Ben, whose father is David ' Bumble ' Lloyd', was crowned champion of Natural Olympia in Las Vegas and will take home a prize of £10,000.

Competitors are banned from taking steroids or other performance-enhancing drugs in this event - and can be punished with bans of up to four years if they break the rules.

A talented sportsman who represented Lancashire at football, cricket, athletics and cross country, Ben excelled from an early age.

However having not 'quite made the grade', he turned to personal training and started doing bodybuilding events in 2016, aged 32.

For the event in Las Vegas, he trained for 35 weeks and beat 26 other bodybuilders to claim the top prize.

Ben, who chose natural bodybuilding for health reasons, said in comments first reported by The Telegraph : 'I am over the moon. It was a very good experience, there has been a lot of travelling as I have been to Austria, Germany, Denmark and in two weeks I will be going back for another show.

'It has been a good year so far. I am the only person from the UK who has won the Natural Olympia, and this is the biggest of all the shows.'

Speaking about his bodybuilding career, he added: 'It is for health reasons. It is a bit risky going down the other route and I have always preferred the straight way.

'Go and watch a show. That lets you realise what is achievable.

'People don't realise there is a drug-free one, and you think it is achievable and think they are not just massive monsters.'

Ben is the son of cricket favourite Bumble, who played for England in nine tests before becoming an umpire and later one of the most popular commentators in the game.

Bumble also had an extensive county career, racking up 407 first-class matches and 288 one day games.

His son has chosen a different path but made history as the first British winner at Natural Olympia.

In 2016, Ben told the Mail about how he got into bodybuilding.

'For me it's almost a fear of failure that's driven me,' he said. 'I've come from a family of high achievers, I always thought I need to do well at something.

'You'd get a little bit of negativity on the cricket pitch, like, 'You're not as good as your dad' and I just let it get to me. I should've probably been a bit stronger. I wasn't ever much good in a team environment in sports, but in the gym it's more you against you.

'I'm very determined. Once you're in it you just feel like, 'I've worked so hard I can't let it slip'. It's 24/7 discipline. One night eating garbage can ruin it all.'

Ben wrote on social media after the event: 'Your new PNBA Pro Natural Olympia Overall Champion!

'This is by far the greatest achievement of my bodybuilding career so far and I'm completely lost for words. To win one of the best natural bodybuilding shows in the world against over 20 elite level pros is beyond my wildest expectations.

'Thanks to the for putting on an incredible show. Thanks to everyone that has supported me. Thanks to my coach . And thanks to for her love and support this year.

'One more show to go!
