HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – Pennsylvania Congressman Dan Meuser (R) reacted during the latest episode of "This Week in Pennsylvania" to comments from a former Republican Congressman regarding former President Donald Trump.

Last week on This Week in Pennsylvania, former Congressman Jim Greenwood said Trump was "horrendously unfit for public office." Greenwood is now leading the Pennsylvania group "Republicans for Harris" in support of the Democratic Vice President.

"Well, some of those Republicans astound me, Dennis," said Meuser. "We even saw Liz Cheney, who was my friend when I was in Congress with her, (endorse Kamala Harris)."

Meuser, who is a member of Trump's Pennsylvania campaign team, added he believes Trump will receive the 157,000 votes from Republicans who supported Nikki Haley in the Pennsylvania primary. Those Haley votes came even after she dropped out of the presidential race.

"If people are looking at policy and the future of where we need to go, I think (Trump) is far more aligned with everything Nikki Haley had to say," said Meuser.

Meuser also called on Haley to come to Pennsylvania "if she wants a career."

Meuser says he thinks Republicans are "in a great position" going into the November 5 election and says he believes the electoral process will be secure.

"We're not asleep this time. This time we are driving the ballots, we are, Trump Force 47 is putting together all these Trump workers who are going to be in the room when votes are counted, and we're making sure that it's known at ballot harvesting is illegal," Meuser said.
