Thousands head to the polls as early voting begins in Virginia

ARLINGTON, Va. ( DC News Now ) — Thousands of Virginia voters hit the polls as they opened early Friday across the commonwealth, 45 days out from Election Day on November 5.

More than 800 voters cast their ballots at the Arlington County Government Center polling site by noon Friday, election officials told DC News Now.

Voters across polling sites are asked to bring ID and do their candidate research ahead of time.

Out-of-state IDs and drivers licenses are not accepted, but in-state IDs, passports, military IDs are OK.
