Three arrested for dropping off migrants in the Mines Road area
Three men have been arrested for dropping off migrants at a waiting tractor-trailer in the Mines Road area, according to an arrest affidavit.
At about 3 p.m. Nov. 38, Homeland Security Investigations special agents received information regarding people dropping off migrants at a waiting tractor-trailer. Special agents along with local and federal partners set up an operation in the 8300 block of San Lorenzo Drive.
Authorities observed a silver Nissan Armada arrive at about 3:40 p.m. to drop off a migrant. A Texas Department of Public Safety pulled over the vehicle and identified the driver as David Alejandro Hernandez-Montes.
At about 3:50 p.m., law enforcement observed a white Ford F-150 approach the waiting 18-wheeler and drop off three migrants. DPS assisted in pulling over the F-150 and identified the driver as Antonio Guerrero-Rodriguez.
A third vehicle described as a black Toyota Tundra arrived to drop off three migrants. Authorities would identify the driver of the Toyota as Alejandro de Jesus Rivera. Law enforcement approached the 18-wheeler and discovered the seven individuals inside the trailer.
Hernandez-Montes, Guerrero-Rodriguez and Rivera were arrested and charged with transport, attempt to transport and conspire to transport the migrants.
