SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Hockey fans and their dogs got to enjoy a Thunderbirds game Friday night.

The MassMutual Center turned into a dog house for the pucks and paws event.

For one night only, fans could bring their dogs to a game. Proceeds from dog tickets will benefit the foundation for TJO animals.

Kelly Wright from Suffield, Connecticut told 22News, "There is nothing better than Hockey and Hounds. We have Hatty, and she's named after hat trick and she goes to a lot of my son's hockey games, they're undefeated with her there."

Sections 16 and 17 were designated as dog-friendly areas for fans.
