Thursday Night Football, Week 3: Patriots vs. Jets betting odds, pick

Week 3 of the NFL season kicks off tonight as the New England Patriots take on the New York Jets.

People thought the Patriots would be a joke this season, and time will tell what their actual win-loss record is. However, Browns fans know how good Jacoby Brissett can be, so when he was named their quarterback, I knew the Patriots would be right in the thick of it each week. They topped the Bengals in Week 1, and nearly upset the Seahawks in Week 2.

The Jets, meanwhile, were out-classed by the 49ers in Week 1, but showed better control of playing a complete game and getting Aaron Rodgers some opportunities in Week 2 when they defeated the Titans.

According to FanDuel Sportsbook , the Jets are 2.5 point favorites against the Patriots. I like the Jets in a moneyline pick, and when that happens, I almost always look through the lens of it being at least a field goal victory. Jets 23, Patriots 17
