Thursday Outlook: Overcast, mid-70 temps around Charlotte
CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) – Thursday morning is looking similar to Wednesday morning with the added feature of light to moderate rain along the I-85 corridor and points south and east. Temperatures start off where we typically peak this time of year with mid-60s settled in for Uptown.

Mountain counties are mostly dry this morning with upper 50s and patchy fog kicking things off for our morning commute. Winds will be light and variable as we make a run for the low to mid-70s from our mountains into Uptown.
Just about everyone will be well above normal for this time of year as morning rain tapers off south and east of Uptown. We'll see lingering showers through the morning commute before the rain exits to our south.
This afternoon will see partly to mostly cloudy skies as highs peak above normal. We'll dry out ahead of overnight lows dipping into the low 60s heading into Friday. We'll see a stationary front track south of Charlotte as we head into Friday which will help give us a little break from the rain chances.
Saturday will start the weekend near 70 degrees under partly cloudy skies with mostly dry conditions and relatively light winds. An approaching cold front will bring another round of wet weather Saturday night into Sunday as mid-60s finish off the weekend.
Veteran's Day will start the week with mid-70s and spotty showers. We'll see high pressure return as temperatures cool down back into the upper 60s to low 70s and sunshine returns by Sunday.
