Tight race in District 35 race between Aguilar and Quick

GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - It's a close race for the Nebraska Legislature District 35 seat that

Incumbent Sen. Ray Aguilar is taking on challenger Dan Quick for the seat that covers Grand Island.

Just after 11:35 p.m. Tuesday, the results showed Quick with 50.64 percent and Aguilar with 49.36 percent. Quick garnered 4,941 votes to Aguilar's 4,816.

Quick was elected to represent District 35 back in 2017 and served until 2020 when he lost to Aguilar. Before Aguilar became senator in 2020, he served in the legislature in 2000 and 2004.

Local4 caught up with both men on Election Night about how they are feeling as the results come in.
