‘Time to clean house’: Furious Jets’ fans fire off angry, belittling, sarcastic tweets after ugly loss

Quick, somebody slide a mirror under Woody Johnson ’s nose and make the Jets owner is still breathing, because if he could watch Black Friday’s [ insert any and all synonyms for humiliating here ] 27-6 loss to the Miami Dolphins and preserve the status quo, the NFL should intervene and force a sale.

The Jets , in the midst of a four-game losing streak and a complete meltdown, managed 159 yards of offense, most of that during garbage time. Hear that snickering? It’s coming from Zach Wilson.

Until 4:34 remained in the game and the Dolphins starters were on the sidelines — probably doing some holiday shopping on their phones — the Jets’ only TD had been scored by the defense.

At one point late in the game, the Jets had more yards in penalties (70) than offense (50).

In a 20-second capsulation of their season, they yielded a touchdown on a Hail Mary that was returned 99 yards for a touchdown as time expired in the first half — and it was quickly dubbed “The Black Friday Hell Mary.” Time to update your Jets laughingstock rankings: Butt Fumble moves to No. 2.

The Jets fought with the Dolphins — and bloodied a game official as two players were ejected. Might have been the Jets’ hardest hit all day.

And in the end, the fan base has had it.

If firing head coach Robert Saleh and offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett means Aaron Rodgers will rethink whether he wants to play for the franchise next season, Jets fans on Twitter (now X), delivered a clear message to the 39-year-old QB rehabbing his torn Achilles’ tendon:

So long, Mr. Conspiracy. Have a nice retirement!
