KINGSTON: The Hoyt Library, 284 Wyoming Ave., is hosting a free college and career workshop presented by Jennifer L. Severini-Kresock, NEPA Career and College Counseling Associates, from 1-2 p.m. on Saturday. The topic of the workshop will be “My Top 10 Tips for Getting Admitted to the College of Your Dreams.”

WILKES-BARRE TWP.: Wilkes-Barre Township is conducting its annual hayride on Oct. 30 at Kennedy Park. A costume parade will take place from 4:30-5 p.m. Prizes will be awarded in the following categories, funniest, scariest and most original.

In addition to the hayride, there will be a movie shown on an outdoor screen provided by Trans-Med Ambulance. There will be refreshments and quad-pulled hayrides until 7:30 p.m.

Anyone interested in donating candy for treat bags, can deliver it to the Wilkes-Barre Township Municipal Building, 150 Watson St., between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., before Oct. 25.

WRIGHT TWP.: The Wright Township Recreation Board is sponsoring its annual Halloween parade at 1 p.m. on Oct. 26 in the municipal park. All children accompanied by a parent are invited. Refreshments provided by the Mountain Top Kiwanis Club will be served after the parade.

WYOMING: The regular monthly meeting of Mountain Grange No. 567 that was scheduled for Nov. 5 has been cancelled due to Election Day. The normal meeting times is 7 p.m. on the first Tuesday of every month at the Grange Hall.
